For eight weeks in spring, the popular festival weeks along the South Tyrolean Wine Road offer a unique experience.
From mid-April to the beginning of June the wine is in the centre of attention along the South Tyrolean Wine Road, that’s to say in the 16 municipalities between Nalles in the area of Merano and Salorno in the far south of South Tyrol. Of course also Caldaro and Termeno take part! A big party opens the festival weeks in mid-April, when the landscape around Lake Caldaro presents itself in full fruit blossom. An interesting expedition into the world of wine awaits you!
Within these South Tyrolean Wine Road Weeks - “Südtiroler Weinstrassenwochen” in German, “Vino in festa” in Italian - highlights such as the “WineSafari” and the “Gewurztraminer Wine and Walking Day” in Termeno, the “Caldaro Wine Party” and the “Masters of Wine”, the highest honour in the wine sector, take place. Also many other cultural and culinary events are included, such as wine tastings, meetings with winegrowers, festivals, hikes and concerts.
The grand finale is the famous “Wine Cellar Night” on the last day, when the wine cellars and wineries along the South Tyrolean Wine Road open their doors until late at night and offer their best wines. A shuttle service takes you comfortably and safely from one winery to the next.
