Running round Lake Caldaro or between the vineyards of Termeno early in the morning increases the feeling of well-being
Nature awakes and everything is quiet: jogging, that's to say running at a gentle pace, is beneficial for the stamina, improves the physical performance and strengthens the cardiovascular system. And you don't need much: a pair of running shoes and nice surroundings. Due to the fact that it stresses joints, tendons and ligaments, a soft ground is better for jogging than asphalt.
Caldaro and Termeno offer much space to perform this healthy outdoor activity. Several trails, such as the ones in the Lavason Valley between Caldaro and Appiano, in the Castelvecchio Forest and near the Sant'Antonio sports ground, the small roads between the apple orchards surrounding Lake Caldaro and paths such as the Nature Experience Trail from Termeno to Lake Caldaro are ideal to exercise and to take a deep breath.
Also two fitness trails, that's to say round courses with outdoor exercise equipment and robust obstacles, can be found in the area: the one of Caldaro is an easy and flat forest path which starts in Sant'Antonio, proceeds for 15 minutes through the Castelvecchio Forest and leads back to the Sant'Antonio sports ground. Also above Termeno, near the Kastelaz Path, there is a fitness trail.
