Lake Caldaro - if its ice layer is thick enough - and the Caldaro Ice Arena await ice skaters during the winter months.

If you come to Caldaro or Termeno to spend your winter holidays, you’ll experience a special atmosphere: the warmest bathing lake of the Alps - in summer highly frequented - shows its calm side, whereas the small Christmas Market in the village centre of Caldaro offers the right atmosphere for a shopping tour or for enjoying a mulled wine.
Ice skating is one of the winter activities which can be practised in Caldaro: if the temperatures are low enough, the surface of Lake Caldaro freezes and becomes a popular meeting point for ice skaters and hockey players. In the sports area of Sant’Antonio, however, there is the covered ice rink in the Raiffeisen Arena (see map) which offers also changing rooms and a small bar.
