Summer fun for the whole family at Lake Caldaro

In summer, especially in July and August, the area around Lake Caldaro transforms into a paradise for families. The two villages of Caldaro (Kaltern) and Termeno (Tramin) have come up with plenty of ideas to provide memorable holidays, especially for their youngest guests.
In Caldaro, a varied children's programme awaits families. Discover the Peace Path together, which leads into the shady forest of Castelvecchio (Altenburg), or delve into a world of myths on a legend-themed walk. Prefer something creative? Then the pottery or cooper's workshops are just the thing. Mornings filled with games and a children's cinema complete the programme and ensure that there is no room for boredom.
Even outside of the organised events, the region is perfectly set up for families. The Priska Kelderer Riding School provides week-long riding courses for children, while many restaurants and accommodation providers stand out with their family-friendly atmosphere and dedicated play areas. The gentle walking and cycling paths through the forests around the lake are ideal for excursions where the whole family can keep up.
The neighbouring village of Termeno is also a great starting point. From here, you can set off on a leisurely bike ride around the lake – a relaxed outing for all ages. For action-packed days without much planning, the Sport and Adventure pool in Termeno or the Caldaro Adventure Park are perfect destinations in the immediate vicinity.
