Long Thursday in Caldaro

The historical centre of Caldaro (Kaltern), especially the main square called Piazza Principale, transforms every Thursday between the beginning of July and the end of August into a big and entertaining stage. The shops stay open until 10 pm, and the good wine of Caldaro, live music and culinary delicacies await you in the alleys and at the squares of the village centre.

Furthermore, there is also an entertainment programme made of many small events dedicated to a special topic, such as music & culture, handicraft, leisure time, art or games & entertainment. Associations, clubs and different local economic sectors cooperate actively to offer everyone an interesting and more than pleasant summer evening. Children's flea markets, performances of the traditional Schuhplattler dance, exhibitions of amateur photographers, places dedicated to triathlon, handball and chess, and much more are on offer.
