Markets, fairs and shopping
In Caldaro there are several shops and boutiques, perfect for shopping days.
In Caldaro there are numerous possibilities to go shopping, and if you need anything special and you cannot find it in Caldaro, just make a trip to the popular shopping city of Bolzano. Visit the “Lauben” shopping main street, the fruit market, or Piazza Walther (whose name derives from the famous minnesinger Walther von der Vogelweide), the dome of Bolzano and just stroll about in the historic district.
Moreover on Thursdays in July and August you can late night shopping and entertainment until 10 pm, as most of the shops remain open. Furthermore there are musicians and various performances and different handicrafts are presented. Furthermore there is a programme for children, taking place at the market place at 9 pm.
Visit also one of the weekly markets, where you can buy clothes, shoes, leatherware and so much more. On the market that is held in Bolzano on Saturdays you can find vegetables, fruit, eggs, flowers and more products, fresh from local farms.
In Termeno the market takes place from March to October, every second Tuesday. Every third Saturday of the month, in Egna there is a flea market!
