Vernaissages, markets, performances - the offer of events in Caldaro and surroundings is wide and there is something for every taste

> If you would like to go shopping, there are several weekly markets in Caldaro and surroundings. No matter if you are looking for clothing, footwear, flowers of fresh products from local farms, you will find everything your heart desires. The markets take place in:

* Monday: San Paolo
* Tuesday: San Michele
* Wednesday: Caldaro
* Thursday: Cornaiano
* Friday: Merano
* Saturday: Bolzano

> For warm summer nights, Caldaro has got something special to offer: the inner yard of the residence Windegg is transformed into an outdoor cinema. On Mondays and Wednesdays you can enjoy watching movies in unique atmosphere under the open sky.

> A special sports event is the International Lake Caldaro triathlon, usually taking place in May. Every year athletes from all over the world come to Caldaro to swim, cycle and run.

> The Caldaro Wine Days, however, take place in September and include numerous events, for example wine tastings, wine presentations and culinary delights. If you are interested in wines, this is the right event to get to know more about viticulture and wines in Caldaro and surroundings.

> The so called “Gasslfest” in Termeno takes place along the main road of the locality in October. Different types of wine as well as local delicacies are offered. Of course there is also music and entertainment.

> Another event that takes place in October are the “Traminer Herbsttage” (autumn days). The offer of this event includes exquisite wines, culinary delights, an exhibition of items used for winegrowing in ancient times and much more.

> The “Gewürztraminer Symposium” is fully dedicated to the white Gewürztraminer wine. In this event various types of Gewürztraminer from different cultivation areas from all over the world are compared by a jury.

> Termeno is a perfect place to enjoy pleasant summer evenings! You wish to go shopping in the evening? No problem, as on Wednesdays the shops are open until 10 pm and the centre of the village is closed for traffic.

> One of the highligts, however, is the “Egetmann” in Termeno, which is one of the most popular carneval events throughout South Tyrol. In this event a farmer’s wedding is re-enacted. This event takes place every second year! Don’t miss it!

> Another highlight are the “Caldaro Seespiele”. Every year in summer musicals, shows and other performances are presented at the lakeside. In this periods of time the broadway comes to Caldaro! Also movies are shown and theater performances take place… you will feel like in New York or London and famous melodies will enchant you on summer evenings at the lakeside. Really enjoyable!

> Also Christmas time is of utmost importance in Caldaro: in the centre of Caldaro there is a Christmas market, which enchants its visitors. The market booths are open on Fridays from 3 to 8 pm as well as Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 8 pm. Enjoy Christmas time in Caldaro!
