Some years ago, Caldaro launched a special initiative to make a walk through the historical centre of Caldaro (Kaltern) at the weekend even more attractive. In the meantime, the Long Shopping Afternoons have become really popular. During the spring months of April, May and June as well as in autumn, more precisely in September and October, the shops don't close at noon time - as usual - but stay open also from 3 pm to 6 pm.

So you can comfortably enjoy your cappuccino, an ice cream or a glass of wine at the Piazza Principale (main square) before starting shopping. The shopping pleasure is framed by an entertainment programme, including the farmers' market - taking place every Saturday between 9 am and 1 pm - and different concerts from 2.30 pm. "Stop, shop and enjoy" is the motto...
