Exhibition “Superheroes. Children’s dreams”
Great dreams, children’s dreams and also nightmares are part of the special exhibition in the gallery “Le Carceri”.
Le Carceri at Caldaro is venue for a special exhibition from July 10 to August 15. The young artists Raquel Muñoz López and Gehard Demetz will present their pieces of art and Lorenz Gilli will provide audio recordings. Children’s faces will tell you stories of dreams of every kind in this exhibition.
The Spanish artist Raquel Muñoz López in 2007 put into practice this project in coopoeration with the orphanage “L’Empire des Enfants” at Dakar. For this project every child could be the superheroe of its choice and the result are films, photos and drafts, which report the dreams of street kids.
And also sculptural pieces of art of the artist from Valgardena Gerhard Demetz, basing on the reflection of the philosophy of Rudolf Steiner, shows shadows of children. At least at first sight. The bodies of the children, however, have not been fully completed and moreover jammed into narrowing figurines. These “own” sculptures offer a wide range of interpretation and associations.
