Termeno

A wine village and the home of the popuar "Gewürztraminer" wine

Termeno is a small village located in Bassa Atesina region, located at 276 m asl. This is where the famous "Gewürztraminer" comes from. You might already know this full-flavoured white wine ;-)

In Termeno, there is also the highest brick-built steeple (86 m) of Tyrol. The Romanesque church San Giacomo a Kastelaz as well as the San Valentino church. Moreover the village museum of Termeno provides information about the past of the village.

When you are in Termeno, just ask for the "Egetmann-Umzug" (parade), and you will be amazed, as it is an event organised every second year. The inhabitants of Termeno are really enthusiastic about this carneval event...
