This area is characterised by a large number of castles, ruins and residences that are popular excursion destinations. The centre offers numerous possibilites to make your holidays even more varied and to explore the surrounding localities in different ways.
Its parish church has been mentioned for the first time in 1191. Particularly striking is the impressive wall which separates the church from the market place. After a devastating fire in 1373 the church had to be completely reconstructed. Only the 72.5 m high church tower was spared from the fire. Inside the church, there is a Baroque organ body (1972) as well as a ceiling fresco of the artist Josef Schöpf, both really worth a visit.
In the village, only some steps from the market place, there is the South Tyrolean Wine Museum, which provides information about wine and vine cultivation by means of a number of items.
